KDD Cup is the first and the oldest data mining competition and is an integral part of the annual ACM SIGKDD conference. Members in our data mining research group attended KDD Cup in 2007 and 2008, and got good results (which are all among the top 10 submissions).

• KDD Cup 2007: The submission of Chun Li, et al was ranked 6th.

• KDD Cup 2008: The submission of Chuancong Gao, Rui Liu, and Jun Zhang was ranked 7th.
