Yong Zhang

Yong ZHANG is an associate professor of Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology at Tsinghua University, a committee member of Information System Society of CCF, a senior member of China Computer Federation, and a member of IEEE and ACM. He received his BSc degree in Computer Science and Technology in 1997, and PhD degree in Computer Software and Theory in 2002 from Tsinghua University. From 2002 to 2005, he did his Postdoc at Cambridge University, UK.

His research interests include AI4DB, database optimization, data fusion and their applications in SNS, LBS, Trading, Health and other domains. He has led or participated in a number of government projects or enterprise cooperation projects such as National Key R&D Program of China, National Basic Research Program of China, National High-tech R&D Program of China, National Key Technology Research and Development Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and funds from the Ministry of Railways.

He has published over 160 articles in high-impact journals or conferences such as TKDE, VLDB Journal, IPM, VLDB, ICDE, ACL, IJCAI and EMNLP. He holds 21 patents of invention and 25 software copyrights. He has served as a reviewer for many journals and conferences, including TKDD, TMIS, WWWJ, FCS, AAAI, DASFAA, Science of China, Journal of Software, Journal of Tsinghua University, etc.
